SMA Feature Film example- Wallace and Gromit 

The SMA film example I have chosen the family favourite, Wallace and Grommet. This film is a Claymation animation feature film, made by the SMA experts, Aardman and the director Nick Park. The target audience for this film is children, although its proven to be a massive hit with all ages. Aardman and Nick Park, also produced Chicken Ru, which is also a Claymation animation and also had huge success, not only with its target audience but with all ages. Aardman capture real life in their models, and to this is why its a huge film, which has later expanded to more films about Wallace and Gromit.  Their models are made from varies materials, although mainly plastacine, but they just capture facial expression, the characters clothing, and the characters personality perfectly. 

SMA Advert example- Sainsbury's Christmas Advert 

The SMA advert example I have chosen is the Sainsbury's Christmas advert, which was made for the holiday season in 2015.  It tells the story of Dave, a hard-working and devoted Dad, who realises that the greatest gift he can give people this Christmas is his time. The vocals are by the comedian james Corden. The advert is light hearted and would appeal to all ages. its stands out at lot from other Christmas adverts, as it was the only one to be SMA in 2015, this is why it go so much attention. The models used in the advert are clay/plastacine made, and looks of work has gone into the details of the chacarasticts of the characters. 

SMA Television Show example- Danger Mouse 

 The SMA television show I have chosen is, Danger Mouse. it  is a British children's animated television series based on the 1981 series of the same name. According to Eldon, the animation style is 'much the same as the original. The series is produced by FremantleMedia, which is a leading stop motion animation production company. Danger Mouse is the greatest secret agent in Mouse history, and the series follows his crazy adventures. The target audience for this SMA television series is young children, ages 3-10, the use of stop motion is very creative, and the characters really come to life. 

SMA Music Video example- Her Morning Elegance

Finally the SMA music video I have chosen is, Her Morning Elegance by Oren Lavie. The music video is an example of one live actor laying on a  mattress. The shots for this footage took 48 to get, which is a short amount of time compared to the other SMA examples. The still photographer for this  music video was, Eyal Landesman, who captured all the shots from a high looking down angle. Music genre is Rock / Indie, Indie Rock, so it would appeal to people who enjoyed this type of music and the subculture of Indie Rock. The use of SMA in the music video is brilliant, and makes it stand out a lot from other music videos.
