Editing Footage, Titles and Credits to a Soundtrack using video and sound software- T

Editors are usually involved in the planning stages of a stop motion animated film, compared to a life action film because they're is a lot of pre planning that goes on before the film is even in motion to be filmed. Animated films are storyboarded to every last shot, movement and angle, so its vital the editors are included in with the pre production, not just the post production. Live action films are shot scene by scene and animated films are filmed shot by shot. Animated shots all cost money, so its vital to keep cost down that each shot is perfect, so shots are not wasted.
the editor collaborates with the director, and works out in detail the shots within each sequence, so that imminently very few shots are undertaken , that are not featured in the finale film.

An editor works along side the director and producer, where they produce a script and storyboard. After when they feel the storyboards and the scripts perfect and are ready for 'reels', and animatic is made, so that it runs very similar to the end film. After this has taken place the editor starts planning out the timings, with the sequences then added audio and sound effects. the whole process of this roughly takes 3-6+ years, including production. Once the sequence and timings are approved by the director and producers, the editor will start cutting and editing the animation and dialogue, till the editor has planed and pleased with the improvements which have been done, it will eventually become the finish product. Animated television shows work very similar to a stop motion animation film, although they are on a lot tighter schedule and everything works a lot faster.

Creating and added audio to an animated film/video is an question asked by many people, is what comes first The animation or the audio?. Once pre production has started, as in Scrip's and storyboards, audio is recorded and played with on long side this process. Once the animation is filmed then the final dioagloge and audio sound effects can be added. Although its vital lip-synching is reached, when in production. When the Editors work on the animation, they can also add audio, as it can really happen anytime after the shots have been taken.
A book I have found has an article in by the Editor of the film Pirates, the editor is Justin Krish, and he gives his views and options and what he done when Pirates was being made. he also explains that its important to manipulate the elements, so the film delivered the desired experience.
